Parents

Project Ready is a hands-on life and work readiness program designed to help young people find their feet and get ready for the world of work.

If your child could use some extra help choosing their career path, building self-confidence and gaining skills to successfully transition into the workforce or further training, Project Ready is for them!

Project Ready is run by a facilitator with experience in youth programs and group work. Their job is to make Project Ready interactive, fun, engaging and inspiring.

How will project ready support my child?

In Project Ready we:

  • Discover the real world through excursions and work placement
  • Build resilience and confidence through personal development activities
  • Help local communities
  • Teach communication and diversity skills
  • Practise job interviews
  • Learn enterprise and entrepreneurial skills
  • Learn about workplace safety
  • Develop personal effectiveness

pathways to further training

When students pass the Project Ready, they receive recognition for up to two units at 1 and 2 level towards their VCE or VCAL. What a great head start!

Certificate II in Active Volunteering provides a launching pad for students to step into further training. The units undertaken in this course are commonly found in other nationally recognised training packages.
