Project Ready is a full-year work readiness and personal development program incorporating CHC24015 Certificate II in Active Volunteering. It’s the fun, all-rounder VET that helps students complete their VCE Vocational Major and get job ready at the same time.
Project Ready is highly effective at helping students develop the job readiness and life skills necessary to successfully transition from secondary school to work or further education.
It’s a VET program that transforms lives and provides young people with a launching pad to achieve future goals.
Students participating in Project Ready undertake a community project, design thinking theory, teamwork, career planning, communication and diversity training, workplace health and safety, work placement, industry engagement activities, field trips, enterprise & entrepreneurial skills, wellbeing development and personal effectiveness. That’s seven units of competency and 215 nominal VET hours.
With students gaining up to two units and levels one and two towards their VCE, the program is an excellent VET option for students undertaking the VCE Vocational Major or requiring additional support, confidence and direction to prepare for further training, education or work. Project Ready is an effective, motivational and empowering VET option suited to years 10-12 students. It can be implemented as a pre-VM program, used as a re-engagement tool or be delivered across the entire year level.
LLEN are invited to work with Central Ranges LLEN to deliver Project Ready to partner schools. Inspiring, hands-on and skill-based, Project Ready is a valuable VET option for schools that incorporates two Structured Workplace Learning placements per participating student.
Are you doing VCE-VM? Do you need a VET? Do you want some VCE credits? Do you need some help with career planning? Do you want to develop some work readiness and wellbeing skills? If you answered yes to any of these questions, Project Ready is for you!
Parents and carers love Project Ready. If your child is feeling a bit lost with school, lacking confidence or direction and has no idea what they want to do in the future, then Project Ready is the perfect VET option. Contact your child’s school to find out more.
Project Ready facilitators are special people. Not only are they TAE-qualified, but they have specialist facilitation skills which enable them to deliver Project Ready in an inspiring, engaging and personalised way. We call it ‘relational pedagogy’ – the ability to connect with students, create a safe group space and invest in the students’ welfare.
