Project Ready is a hands-on work readiness and personal development program developed by Central Ranges Local Learning and Employment Network.
Incorporating VET Certificate II in Active Volunteering, Project Ready is effective in re-engaging students in their education and helping them get ready for their future worlds of work.
Students participating in Project Ready undertake a community project, design thinking theory, teamwork, career planning, communication and diversity training, workplace health and safety, work placement, industry engagement activities, field trips, enterprise & entrepreneurial skills, wellbeing development and personal effectiveness.
With students gaining up to two units and levels one and two towards their VCE or VCAL, the program is an excellent VET option for students requiring additional support, confidence and direction to prepare for their future worlds of work. Are you confused about your future? Do you need some help with career planning? Do you want to develop some work readiness and wellbeing skills? Do you want to build your self-confidence and communication skills? Whether you want to undertake an apprenticeship, further training or get a job, Project Ready will help you get on track for a successful future.
Parents love Project Ready. If your child is feeling a bit lost with school, lacking confidence or direction and has no idea what they want to do in the future, then Project Ready is the perfect VET option. Contact your child’s school to find out more.
Project Ready facilitators are special people. Not only are they TAE-qualified, but they have specialist facilitation skills which enable them to deliver Project Ready in an inspiring, engaging and personalised way. We call it ‘relational pedagogy’ – the ability to connect with students, create a safe group space and invest in the students’ welfare.
MENTORS & STUDENT PLACEMENTS
Volunteer mentors and university or tafe student placements are invaluable to Project Ready. If you love young people, are 18 years +, hold a current working with children card and would like to help local young people prepare for their futures, then we want to hear from you!
