What is Project Ready?

Project Ready is a full-year work readiness and personal development program incorporating CHC24015 Certificate II in Active Volunteering. It’s the fun, all-rounder VET that helps students complete their VCE Vocational Major and get job ready at the same time.

Project Ready is highly effective at helping students develop the job readiness and life skills necessary to successfully transition from secondary school to work or further education.

It’s a VET program that transforms lives and provides young people with a launching pad to achieve future goals.

Students participating in Project Ready undertake a community project, design thinking theory, teamwork, career planning, communication and diversity training, workplace health and safety, work placement, industry engagement activities, field trips, enterprise & entrepreneurial skills, wellbeing development and personal effectiveness. That’s seven units of competency and 215 nominal VET hours.

Project Ready is a full-year VET program suited to years 10 – 12 students. The program is delivered by a TAE-qualified trainer (known as the Project Ready facilitator), sourced by the school or one of Victoria’s 31 Local Learning and Employment Networks (LLENs).

With students gaining up to two units and levels one and two towards their VCE, the program is an excellent VET option for students undertaking the VCE Vocational Major or requiring additional support, confidence and direction to prepare for further training, education or work. To find out more about how you can get involved, click on the relevant link below:
