Q&A
What do you enjoy about Project Ready?
Angel: The fun activities that we do… like [when] somebody says one word and they pass it on down [to] the end of the line.
What’s one you have learned about Project Ready?
Angel: That everybody’s different – like their culture, their age, their religions…
What’s one of the most fun things that you’ve done in Project Ready
Angel: This morning we did a fire drill … one of us got left behind!
What dreams have you achieved in the last year?
Angel: My speech is a lot clearer even though I have a pronunciation problem
What’s your favorite way to spend Sundays?
Angel: Watching YouTube on my phone. I like watching Team Edge. They do a crossover with the Danger Bros and they do hide and seek and play games.
Who else are you subscribed to?
Angel: This How we Bingham – it’s a family and they vlog about their lives (like what they do during the day and holidays and all that).
What are you proud of?
Angel: I’m proud of myself for getting on the school bus all by myself – because of all this COVID-19 and plus my sisters have to be homeschooled so I’ve been catching the bus a few days over the last couple of weeks. I thought I almost missed the bus this morning!
Have you ever had to chase after the bus because it was about to leave?
Angel: When we had a different sized bus I literally had to run halfway up the street and next minute somebody says “Angel just got out, can you just guys stop and then I just ran!
Tell me a story!
Angel’s Chosen Prompt: My Earliest Memory
Angel: I chose earliest memory because when I was three and a half my mum passed. She had an epileptic fit. It’s been quite a few years. I was only three and a half and now I’m 17 so that’s a lot of years without [her].
Do you have any memories of her?
Angel: Yeah just remembering her when we’re at Carols by Candlelight. [She] was just sitting on the mat clapping her hands when me and my sister were dancing.
Do you think that you’re like her?
Angel: Yes.
In what ways?
Angel: Her voice – I’ve only heard like a little bit of her voice. And her personality.
